“Semantic algorithms for Healthcare, behind the scenes of an innovation” is the theme of an interesting article written by Vieri Emiliani – Innovation and Solutions – Artexe, for the portal Agenda Digitale. Dwelling on the problems faced by Digital Health in its development process, Emiliani focused in particular on digital management of health data. The direction should be to “put the analysis of care processes at the centre and to produce solutions that facilitate the work of healthcare professionals, making the processes more efficient”. One solution could be semantic algorithms, “that set of natural language processing and knowledge representation techniques which allow automatically extracting information from unstructured texts”.
