Organizational and technological innovation is the key to finding a new balance in Italian Healthcare thanks to:
- reduced waste,
- improved optimization efficiency, from an excessive number of tests or prescriptions during the patient journey, to obtain an accurate diagnosis.
Healthcare 4.0 is still in its infancy but the resources needed to implement it and make it more sustainable already exist.
Clinika is the solution developed to improve clinical governance and efficiency in healthcare facilities.
The systems makes it possible to:
- evaluate the degree of prescription appropriateness and
- measure the efficiency of the healthcare facility.
How? Thanks to the ability to identify and extract elements from large amounts of unstructured data such as diagnosis, medical reports or working diagnosis, and then convert them into information needed for taking strategic decisions.
With a view to sharing and constant improvement, Clinika has found a partner in the Digital Innovation Observatories of the School of Management of the Polytechnic University of Milan.
Founded in 1999 with the objective of creating culture in the main Digital Innovation areas, the Observatories can count on a team of over 60 professors, researchers and analysts working on 30 different key areas and “bring together the widest community of decision makers from demand, supply and institutions, who cooperate and develop relationships (…) to contribute to the diffusion of Digital Innovation in Italy”.
In our specific case, the Digital Innovation in Healthcare Observatory aims to analyze and promote the role of digital technology in order for their innovative potential to provide:
Support for the improvement and innovation of healthcare processes in Italy;
A permanent reference point for decision makers to help them tap the innovative potential of these technologies.
A conference for the presentation of the results of the 2018 research of the Digital Innovation in Healthcare Observatory will be held on 8 May 2018, from 9,30 am to 5 pm, in the Carassa e Dadda Hall, building BL.28 in Via Lambruschini 4, Milan Bovisa campus.
This important meeting will explore topics such as the level of maturity of the main digital solutions with healthcare facilities and Regional authorities as well as the inefficiencies linked to “non-digital” processes and the roadblocks that need to be removed in order to reduce them.
Clinika, an essential instrument for healthcare governance and spending review, and the Digital Innovation in Healthcare Observatories for the introduction of digital technologies: together, the best support to guarantee patient empowerment and the definition of new competencies.
